About Us

Cliftonville Ski Club has been developed in order for those who wish to ski race in NSW on a budget.
Cliftonville Ski Club is not affliated with any other organization involved in Ski Racing.

Because the Club carries only State Insurance for personal accident, it is considerably cheaper for NSW
residents to compete in our Events.

The Annual Premium is $5.67 for adults and $1.21 for juniors (under 18 years of age). A Membership Fee
would also apply, bringing the total to $25 per annum plus Events would carry an entry fee.

The personal accident insurance the Club holds is with the NSW Government Sporting Injuries Committee.
This insurance only covers payment for serious injuries and permanent or disabilitating injury or death.
This insurance DOES NOT COVER loss of wages or Member to Member
medical expenses due to any accident, boat or third party coverage of the boat.

The Club urges Members to have Income and Medical Insurance and it would be recommended for
Members to have Comprehensive Cover (not necessarily Race Insurance) on your boat.

As you can appreciate, all this plus the organising of events requires manpower and expenses such as:-
Waterways Aquatic Licence, Paramedics, race equipment hire etc., therefore Memberships have to be
collected prior to receipt of Entries.

Our current calendar shows 5 events per year at Cliftonville Ski Lodge at River Road, Lower Portland.
We wish to point out that we have not been formed in opposition to any other ski clubs or any other
water-ski organizations. The formation of the Club is purely for teaching, training and social events.
